New Bionics and A.I. Research!

Bionic hand for amputees or those with limb differences

Here at Positive Bones we are always keen to keep you at the forefront of research into the tools and devices that support those with limb differences, thats why we were delighted when Jarlath Warner (MEng Computer Science) from Queens University Belfast got in touch with an oppportunity for you to find out more but also contribute to his research!

Read all about it in his own words:

“I've been working on research and technology focused around using AI and robotics to improve current upper limb prosthetic device technology and to create new devices that benefit from the latest technology. Our technology is in the early development stage so we are looking to get as much feedback from the community as possible so that we can try address the issues they are facing with current devices and try to incorporate their feedback into our technology.

If anyone would like to provide their feedback on current devices as well as what new devices should include, we've created a short survey which asks some questions and provides some text boxes where they can share their ideas and feedback.”

- Jarlath Warner

Please feel free to share it among friends and family or anyone who you think would like to contribute.

He’s also set up a new start-up company based in Northern Ireland focussed on robotic prosthetic technology and if anyone would like to hear more about what they are doing and their work they've just launched a new website at www.axonnr.com. Finally, if anyone would like to reach out to him, his email address is jarlath@axonnr.com.
