Kayaking the Channel

Kayaking the channel to fundraise for Positive Bones charity for those with limb differences including amputees

In 2019, Body Pemberton announced that he would kayak in the English Channel (Portscatho, Cornwall to L’Abewrach, France) to raise money. The challenge saw Bod kayaking 105 miles in under 20 hours, kayaking at night and managing on 15 minute naps every 3-4 hours but it was all worth it as in the end Body managed to raise an incredible £13,000 for the fundraiser, making an enormous difference to the life of founder, Josephine Bridges.

Note: This fundraiser was carried out prior to Positive Bones becoming a charity and during the time it was a fundraiser for our chair, Josephine Bridges. You can read more about her story and how we became a charity on our ‘about’ page.
